Bill Mcintosh · NotebookLM Is DEAD… How To Make Digital Products With Gemini Notebook Instead ↗
Use Google's Gemini Notebook (the renamed successor to NotebookLM) to compile research on a topic you genuinely know, either by manually adding sources like YouTube videos and articles, or by using its automatic 'deep research' mode, into a knowledge base. From that base, generate a full slate of digital-product assets: ebooks, mini-courses, checklists, infographics, audio overviews, and quizzes. Then hand the finished materials to a separate AI tool, Buildy.ai, which through a plain-conversation chat interface builds and launches the entire business around it: a branded sales page, a course-hosting platform with logins and payments, and ongoing marketing across social media and paid ads.
The presenter demos building a real example, a sleep-and-energy digital course, start to finish in one video. Buildy suggests brand names, recommends a $97-197 entry-level price point, identifies a target audience (35-55 year old professionals and exhausted parents), and builds a full sales page around the founder's own personal story as proof. The pitch is that two AI tools together can take a pile of raw information all the way to a live, sellable business with no separate designer, copywriter, developer, or marketer needed.
Someone with real, first-hand knowledge or experience in a topic (the presenter emphasizes using genuine expertise, not generic research) who's comfortable directing an AI tool through conversation rather than needing to build anything by hand.
The presenter is explicit upfront that this isn't a get-rich-quick shortcut, you still have to build, run, and actually help people with the business, a good transparency signal. That said, the entire second half of the video is a live demo of Buildy.ai specifically, so there's a clear incentive to make that tool look as capable as it's shown, and no independent case study of a real paying customer or actual revenue is shown, only a workflow demo. Gemini Notebook itself is a legitimate, non-promotional Google tool with a genuine free tier.
